27 February 2014 Community celebrates new housing in Yamanto

Last week we invited the community to celebrate our residential development in Yamanto, Ipswich. With stage two nearing completion, the celebration kicked off with stakeholders attending an official event to showcase the new housing.

Our own Managing Director Peter Howman oversaw the proceedings, with Mayor Ipswich City Council Cr Paul Pisasale and Air Commodore Timothy Innes addressing attendees before cutting the ribbon and welcoming everybody to walk through the home.

Our MD then headed to stage three of the development, where a further 62 homes are planned. He met with the contractors before turning the first sod to signify the start of civil works.

Later that night, neighbours surrounding our development dropped by to take a sneak-peak at the completed homes in stage two and ask questions regarding the latest stage of the development.

Once complete, the residential development will be home to more than 130 Defence families. The homes will be a mix of three, four and five bedrooms, and reflect aspects of contemporary architecture, with a focus on quality and diversity of design.

This new residential development is ideally located for Defence members and their families, approximately eight kilometres from both Amberley RAAF Base and the CBD.

Thanks to everyone who helped out to make the jam-packed day possible – with a special mention to the Ipswich HMC, Raja Narayanasamy and Bryan Foster.
