15 August 2014 Chief Information Officer selected as finalist in Executive of the Year Awards

Chief Information Officer, Shane Nielsen, has been recognised for his outstanding contribution to Defence Housing Australia (DHA) by being selected as a finalist in the category of CIO of the Year in the CEO Magazine’s 2014 Executive of the Year Awards.

Mr Nielsen is one of only five finalists in this category. The winner will be announced at the annual awards dinner on Thursday 27 November in the Grand Ballroom at the Hilton Hotel, Sydney.

‘On behalf of DHA staff we are delighted that Shane has been recognised for his contribution to the organisation. Our productivity as a business can be greatly attributed to the work that he has done over the years with DHA, particularly the digital environment,’ DHA Managing Director, Peter Howman said.

CEO Magazine’s Executive of the Year Awards is a prestigious award that recognises individual excellence in their field. The award does not focus on an organisation’s success, but rather on the success of the nominated executive and their contribution towards their organisation.
