Defence Housing Australia (DHA) is proud to play an important role in supporting Defence members and their families by being the primary provider of housing for those who currently serve for our country. We are also proud to support Legacy Week, an annual national appeal that raises awareness and funds for the families of our incapacitated and deceased Veterans.
Legacy Week is run across Australia from 31 August to 6 September. The funds raised from the sale of badges and other merchandise help Legacy continue to assist 90,000 families and people with disabilities Australia-wide, with essential services such as counselling, special housing, medical, advocacy and social support.
‘Legacy celebrates 91 years of service in 2014,’ DHA Managing Director Peter Howman said. ‘Its main objective is, and has always been, to look after the families of those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
