Shout Ridge is starting to reveal itself with the distinctive curves of the balconies taking shape and the soaring front balconies being formed up.
Contemporary and geometric in form, the apartments in Crimson Hill’s Shout Ridge feature wave-like balconies that cascade gracefully into the serenity of the surrounding Lane Cove National Park.
Defence Housing Australia Acting Managing Director Jan Mason says construction of Building A has now topped out, with Building B to follow in February 2016.
'Shout Ridge captured the imagination of buyers, with organic, floating curved balconies that step down into a backyard of National Park bushland,' she says.
'And now construction is on track for settlements in the September quarter of 2016, meaning residents will soon be able to enjoy their high-quality apartments that were architecturally designed by the award-winning team from Architectus.'
All 47 apartments in Shout Ridge sold out on release in December last year.
One of the most striking features of the Shout Ridge design is the distinctly different façades for both the front and rear of the buildings.
The entrance reveals a strong symmetrical framing around the first three levels of apartments – reflecting robust contemporary Australian architecture. At the top level, a soaring, cantilevered, timber-clad roofline will open balconies up to northern sun.
The other side of the building presents an elegant curved façade that reads almost as pavilions and is inspired by the rising rock formations from the valley that drops away revealing long views into the National Park below.
