About Gunners' Cottages
Situated in front of the Army Museum of WA in Fremantle this one-of-a-kind DHA development involved the restoration of 10 heritage listed cottages originally constructed in 1913-14 and the construction of six new residences.
The cottages were previously used for officers at the adjacent Artillery Barracks (which is now an Army Museum) but had been vacant for more than a decade prior to the restoration works.
The cottages were completed in April 2016. There are three one-bedroom, 12 two-bedroom and one three-bedroom cottages on the site, constituting one house, six duplex units and nine townhouses.
DHA has retained all 16 residences for Defence members.
