About our surveys
Your thoughts and opinions on the services we provide are important to us. Each year we conduct surveys with ADF members, their partners or spouses, and landlords to measure the levels of satisfaction with our products and services.
We use these surveys to align our housing solutions with real‑world requirements, drive targeted improvements, measure our performance and maintain transparency and accountability to our stakeholders.
Your privacy is important to us
DHA adheres to Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). All surveys are designed and managed by staff qualified and experienced in survey methodology. Survey data is matched to demographics and property information, and all surveys are received and treated in the strictest confidence by our research team. Survey responses are combined and summarised prior to reporting to ensure that individuals cannot be identified.
Please refer to our privacy statement for more information.
Our current surveys
ADF member surveys
DHA conducts multiple surveys throughout the year with Defence members and their families. The results of these surveys are used to improve our housing solutions for Defence members and their families.
These surveys include:
- the Annual Occupant Survey which is sent to all ADF members living in a DHA managed property or receiving rent allowance, and is used to inform DHA's strategic direction
- relocation, and welcome visit surveys which measure satisfaction with finding and securing, occupying and vacating, DHA managed properties
- surveys that measure satisfaction for ADF members with general enquiries, rent allowance and completed maintenance
- a survey that measures satisfaction with the booking process for Living-In Accommodation (LIA); while DHA is not responsible for LIA, it does manage the booking system.
Annual Landlord Survey
The Annual Landlord Survey assesses satisfaction with DHA’s property management services and other aspects of leasing.
