About Bundock Street Housing Redevelopment, Randwick, NSW
This project is being initiated, planned and delivered by the Directorate of Relocations and Housing (DRH), within the Department of Defence, in partnership with DHA to supply 62 houses to Defence families on Bundock Street.
The Bundock Street Housing Redevelopment will provide Defence members and their families with suitably-located, quality homes and enable them to become part of the local community. The project is neighboured by existing residents on Bundock Street and Gumara Street and Randwick Barracks.
The project team is currently progressing site investigations and plans for the redevelopment. The approval authority for the development is the Public Works Committee (PWC). Plans will be submitted to PWC by early 2023 and community input will be sought ahead of this time.
For more information or to find out about upcoming community consultation activities, please visit our website at bundockhousing.com.au or contact the project team via email at email@example.com.
Infrastructure Division (ID) Defence are currently investigating the provision of Live in Accommodation (LIA) within the Randwick Barracks. This LIA project is independent of the DRH Bundock Street project.
For information about the ID LIA Randwick project please email the LIA project team at SydneyLIA.firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Bundock Street redevelopment will provide benefits to the local community:
- The new housing will be architecturally designed and provide high amenity for Defence members and their families.
- The new housing will activate the street frontage to Bundock Street.
- The dwellings are rear loaded and will not have driveways on Bundock Street preventing clashes with the cycleway.
- The 62 Defence families will be new neighbours who are going to contribute to the community.
